If nothing else, this election season has shown us just how low our country can sink in search for the next president. For anyone being truthful, the first debate was a disaster…for both parties. The second debate is over, and I’ve heard nothing telling about who was better or worse.

No, what seems to be making news these days is a leaked video from 2005, when Trump was doing The Apprentice. Women, and some men, are up in arms about his crude remarks concerning women. Hummm…not too proud of it, but I’ve known many men who talk like that in private, which Trump thought it was. Still, the thought that he would say such things in this day and time should bother us all, but not necessarily for the reasons you think.

You know what this election is really showing us, in no uncertain terms? Men STILL think of women as sex objects and second-class citizens. I dare you to deny it! While people are up in arms about what Trump has said, has anyone even noticed that he was MARRIED to Meliana at the time??? Not only that, they had just married at the beginning of that very year! Where is his respect for his new wife? Why is THAT not the topic of discussion? Why aren’t people, especially Conservatives, up in arms about THAT? AND, if he cannot respect the very person to which he has sworn love and loyalty, how in the world do we expect him to do ANYTHING for us!?! After all, he owes us NOTHING!

And, how are a GREAT many self-professed conservatives, most of whom claim to be Christian, supporting Trump now? In a Christian Marriage ceremony (which, granted, I have no idea if the Trump’s had), the couple is supposed to agree to love, honor and cherish each other, until death. Fooling around is off the agenda (you know, that whole adultery thing!). So why in the world are people giving Trump a pass? (I wonder how many of these people gave Kennedy, Roosevelt, Clinton? Oh yeah, not many!!!)

While the Clinton supporters are livid over Trump’s sexist remarks and trash talk, how quickly they forget what the Clintons have said, and done, to women…and children. They are filled with vitriol regarding Trump’s lewd comments, but what about their candidate (research Hillary defending a rapist against his 12 year old victim!), and her husband (Ole Billy’s extra-curricular activities are infamous)? It appears the left just flat out ignores the Clinton’s and their escapades. How bizarre?

As for what he actually said, people supporting Trump buy into all the tired excuses for what, if he truly acted on them, is considered sexual harassment…”he’s a guy,” “it’s just locker room talk,” “it’s just what guys say.” I can hear one of my old friends now, “guys are not built to be faithful.” In 2016, shouldn’t women expect more respect than that? I, for one, certainly do…

Honestly, ask yourselves, are these REALLY the best people we have in this country for President? As for the two parties getting together, just maybe there is a light at the end of the partisan tunnel, after all…while the Republicans defend what Trump said and the Democrats use it to slam him as a womanizing philanderer, maybe EVERYONE has forgotten one crucial thing…wasn’t Trump a Democrat when all that took place?  Oh, the irony!

The late June 2014 Burwell vs. Hobby Lobby decision is in and the Supreme Court, in a 5-4 decision, upheld the religious beliefs and rights of the owners of Hobby Lobby, Mardel and Conestoga. With the laws on the books right now, I see this as a major win for business owners who live their beliefs. As a constant pursuer of the truth, I see this as a very sad day in our history. Using The First Amendment, and the Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993 and the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act of 2000, arguments were brought and the case ultimately decided. Yet, there is something sorely lacking…the upholding of the Constitution. Maybe Bush was right…The Constitution is just a goddamned piece of paper.

Why, you may ask, is that?

Firstly, there is the text of the dearly held religious portion of the First Amendment which states, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…” Get that? CONGRESS SHALL MAKE NO LAW…and yet time and again, Congress has passed laws affecting the free exercise of religion. The very fact that this case had to be brought before the Supreme Court is proof of that. The very fact that there were several major cases referenced and used in arguments is proof of that.

Secondly, what about the Articles of Power? This government, by passing the Affordable Healthcare Act (AHA), and the Supreme Court, by upholding it as a tax, have shown utter contempt for the Articles of Power given to Congress, powers clearly laid out in the Constitution. Many don’t view it this way, but the Affordable Healthcare Act, Obamacare, Congress wrote and passed and the President signed into law is one of the most egregious pieces of legislation in our history. Our government passed brazen legislation that forces the population to purchase a product or pay a penalty…oh, wait! It’s not a penalty, it’s a tax, as our Supreme Court kindly reminded us over and over during the Hobby Lobby argument!

Thirdly, I need someone to show me, in the Articles of Power, where it says government can mandate businesses to provide insurance. The given powers allow for government to regulate commerce with foreign nations, Indian tribes and between the states, but it say nothing about regulating business practices…NOTHING! And, not to get off the subject too far, but take a good look at the Articles of Power. Congress has literally given away one major power, coining money. It regularly ignores its own immigration laws. It has also allowed presidents to wage illegal wars, bypassing Congress’ power to declare them. And don’t get me started on their complete lack of common sense regarding militias.

Next, when President Obama says he is going to go around either the Supreme Court or Congress, has he forgotten there are two other branches of government set forth in our Constitution?  Yes…there are checks and balances built into our government via the Constitution.  There are three, not one, branches of government.  Sometimes they ALL forget what their job is…

So, when Bush declared the Constitution and goddamned piece of paper, maybe he was sending the US population a message. And, if we, the US population, don’t start holding our politician’s feet to the fire about their decisions, aren’t we agreeing with that very notion? In closing, we only have ourselves to blame for the political concept that our Constitution is just a g/d piece of paper: that it’s irrelevant and of no use. It seems we couldn’t care less about learning that by having a Constitutional Republic, ruled by a set of laws instead of the popular concept, we are protecting both the majority AND the minority ideals. They don’t truly teach the Constitution or it’s importance in schools anymore. They DO teach, however, the functions of government are maintaining order, providing services, resolving conflicts, and promoting values. Two of the four I can see in the Articles of Power, but the other two are just not there… Don’t believe me, read the Articles of Power yourself, Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution.

We’ve lost the meaning of our Constitution, as well as what it means to have individual freedom. We’ve given all manner of excuses for people’s behavior instead of holding them responsible for their actions. And, as we can see within the debates surrounding the recent SCOTUS decision for Hobby Lobby, Conestoga and Mardel, there are masses of people who are more than willing to let others pay for them to enjoy their freedom, but don’t want to grant the same to others. Again, this country isn’t about majority rule, it’s about a set of laws that protect your ideals and mine. I have a right to do what I want to do, as long as I don’t interfere with your freedoms and you have the right to do the same. Justice Ginsburg understands that, even though she doesn’t usually rule that way. How do I know? She cites in her dissent, “In sum, with respect to free exercise claims no less than free speech claims, ’[y]our right to swing your arms ends just where the other man’s nose begins.’”

Over the years, we have become complacent. We’ve forgotten that this country was established as a Constitutional Republic, a country governed by rule of law. In a clever grab for power, government officials, as well as the media, businessmen and women, and schools have shifted the US toward the concept of a Constitutional Democracy, a country governed by majority rule. What’s next? I think we are seeing it as our political machine shoves our country’s ideals toward socio-fascism. And all this before a true Constitutional Republic had a fighting chance!

The next time someone seems offended by Former President Bush’s assertion that the Constitution is just a goddamned piece of paper; think about why that seems so true…

On June 30, 2014 the Supreme Court handed down its long awaited Burwell vs. Hobby Lobby decision. The decision is a win for religious freedom and owners of closely held businesses opening and operating on their religious convictions. After all, if you don’t have your convictions, what do you have?   As expected, it also immediately fueled the fire of debates across the country as both pro- and con-decision comments made their way into nearly every level of communication. Many are pushing personal rights, but what seems to be missing from one side of the debate is personal responsibility. Many have the notion the responsibility for their own actions should lay with someone else…in this case, their boss. How did so many people who seem to relish their “personal rights” come to the conclusion they are free to do what they want, screw the consequences, handing the tab off to someone else?

What dissenting Justice Ginsburg and most of the mainstream media outlets continue to promulgate is that all three companies the decision affects are refusing to offer birth control of any kind. It needs to be clarified that there are sixteen contraceptives and four abortifacients required by the Affordable Healthcare Act and it’s the four abortifacients to which the three companies object. Justice Ginsburg FINALLY mentions this on page 24 of her 35-page dissent. Also in her dissent, Justice Ginsburg agrees, “that the Green and Hahn families’ religious convictions regarding contraception are sincerely held.” AND, she cites case law that the courts cannot question the lines drawn “defining which practices run afoul of [an individual’s] religious beliefs.” What the media ignores is the belief against abortion, NOT birth control. This case isn’t talking about whether or not these companies are insuring a broken leg; it is talking about whether these companies should provide drugs that stop a human life. There’s a huge difference!

That brings me to the overused phrase, “It’s my body, it’s my choice.” If it’s your body, why not TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT! If it’s your body, why is anyone else liable for YOUR choices? My grandfather always said, “When you play adult games, you pay adult prices.” If you’ve taken biology you know when you make the decision to consummate your relationship, the potential consequence is pregnancy. Also, as many well know, birth control is NOT 100%, so there is always a possibility of pregnancy when engaging in sexual intercourse. Why should someone else shoulder the burden of your choice? You played the game; it should be your responsibility to pay for the consequences of the game you played.

Another major point of contention is, “My boss shouldn’t have a say in what I do.” If you don’t want your boss in your bedroom, why should your boss pay for the decisions you make there? Again, take responsibility for your own actions! In this, the SCOTUS decision falls far short. It should not be your boss’s job to pay for your birth control OR abortifacients…PERIOD! How does this become your boss’s (OR the tax-payer’s?) responsibility, especially if you aren’t willing to pay for them yourself? When did women give up responsibility for their body?

It’s quite interesting that, during the arguments for this decision, the subject of alternative ways to pay for the offensive abortifacients arose. Justice Sotomayor seemed rather incensed that the alternative payments included either the government (taxpayers) or the individual, but not the business owner. Again, since when did the burden of an individual’s decision or a government mandate become someone else’s problem? It’s easy to make decisions when someone else has to pick up the tab! I bet we’d ALL do things differently if someone else were paying for it!

While Justice Ginsburg whines on about what’s fair and right regarding the government mandating and spelling out what FDA Approved drugs must be covered, she fails to see the egregious nature of forcing businesses to provide treatments that are against their beliefs. She bellyaches about the burden on the government of paying for the mandates it so brazenly passed on to business owners, but fails to see the burden the mandate creates for said business owners. She flat out ignores the mental burden of providing abortifacients when a business owner believes abortion is murder. The government even goes so far as to argue that the business owner is NOT providing the abortion, that the insurance company is. But, if the business owner is paying for even a portion of the insurance coverage, which they all do, they are paying for that abortion! I guess that never crossed their little legal brains, did it? And, if it did and they are ignoring it, that’s even worse!

These arguments remind me of a quote from a particularly gut-wrenching scene from Star Trek, “The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.” According to “the many,” their “need” is for someone else to pay for their contraception/abortifacient while they enjoy their “personal right” to live their lives. No one is saying you can’t exercise your personal rights regarding your life. Far from it! What they ARE saying, however, is they don’t want the responsibility of paying for your decision regarding your choices. If you can make the choice, you can pay the price for the choice…PERIOD!

Regarding a similar notion, don’t others have a personal right to live their lives? So, where are their rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, to enjoy the fruits of their labor when they are made to pay for someone else’s decision/mistakes? You have inalienable rights given by your creator…with those rights comes the responsibility to do the right thing, by your beliefs. I have the same inalienable rights, and the same responsibility, by my beliefs. Why is this always a one-sided argument…you get to shove what you believe down my throat while you do what you want, with no consequences, while someone else picks up the tab but has no say? Not fair and insane!

Ironically, the Honorable Justice Ginsburg cited in her dissent, “In sum, with respect to free exercise claims no less than free speech claims, ’[y]our right to swing your arms ends just where the other man’s nose begins.’” Doesn’t this make the argument that your rights end where mine begin? Doesn’t this very statement express personal responsibility regarding personal freedom? I believe it does. What do people, including the dissenting Justices, see when they read that?

Will people ever get it through their heads that with personal freedoms come personal responsibilities? Isn’t that the whole purpose of being an adult? Better yet, I’d like for someone to point out where in Article 1 Section 8 of our Constitution it says our government has the authority to decide away our personal responsibilities. There are lots of things listed in there that our government can do, but relieving us of personal responsibility is not one of them.

Columbia, MO – June 7, 2013 – So, you label me a “conspiracy theorist” and make fun of what I say, calling me other names, too, like wacko, nut job, tin-foil-hat wearing idiot.  Can you hear me now…do you believe me now?  Glenn Greenwald’s breaking bombshell Wednesday exposing the NSA on-going collection of “information on all telephone calls” in Verizon’s vast network should be your wake-up call.  Greenwald divulged that the massive data collection effort started on April 25 and ends July 19.  And, while Greenwald says he doesn’t know if Verizon is the only telecom under the NSA’s spell, a flip back in time will tell us that they probably aren’t!

Way back when I had my battle with AT&T over the giant telecom’s sincere lack of integrity and Congress passed the treacherous FISA Amendment Act, all I could think was, “What they’ve done is now totally in the open.  They will never stop.”  And I was right!  Scores of people tried to warn our country that the government was “listening in” or “gathering the communications” of US citizens, but media and government apologists promptly accused everyone involved in the warning as “kooks” and “conspiracy theorists,” in their efforts to discredit the lot of us.  Well…how do you like us now?  We’ve been telling you the truth all along and you’ve been writing us off…

And, now, the media is STILL in denial, as Anderson Cooper reports about the program AND the fact that government is sucking up your social media info, as well, saying it’s a “highly classified, never before disclosed” program…BULL!  We so-called “conspiracy theorists” have BEEN disclosing it for a LONG TIME!  The ones “never before disclosing” it are people like Anderson Cooper!

Also, they keep talking about the “secret court” like it’s still a secret.  We exposed that egregious entity in Washington, You’re Fired way back in 2008!  AND, for those at home, that film exposes the tyrannical USA PATRIOT Act and SEVERAL pieces of Bush-era right-stripping legislation that were handed over to the Obama Administration.

I have a few things on my mind right now.

First, does Verizon still have customers?  I can guarantee if I were one, I would not be for long…’cause this is EXACTLY why I left AT&T!

Second, the Democrats can have NOTHING bad to say about the Bush Administration.  In fact, they should be thanking him.  And, the Republicans absolutely CANNOT trounce all over the Obama Administration.  Why?  Because the Bush Administration is the one that handed over all this spy power.  Congratulations those who were tired of the Bush Administration…You voted for Obama and got WAY more Bush then you EVER dreamed possible from someone other than a Bush!  Let’s see how you work your way out of this one!

Third, you have also demonized us for being “truthers,” but we have been telling the truth, so how does that one work now?

Fourth, Jim Acosta is saying that people are really angry over their phone records being turned over…REALLY!?!  Where were you people back in 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008?  Why was it okay then but not now!?!  Plus, I have a personal bone to pick with Acosta.  Back in late 2009, CNN and Jim Acosta aired a virtual hit piece on the “Patriot Movement” and our concerns over our government building of detention centers.  Acosta went on national television, with a straight face, claiming there was no proof our government was doing any such thing.  If he bothered to look into the truth, he would know he was wrong.  That’s okay, though, because I straightened him out by exposing what he refused to in a little article of my own, PLUS, we exposed the FEMA camps for them, since they wouldn’t do it.  Man, I am tired of doing their job for them and not getting paid for it!!!

Last, but not least, I need SOMEONE to explain to me just what I will be called now, because “conspiracy theorist,” as described by the media, government and their lackeys, just does not fit…so PLEASE, someone, probably at CNN or another mainstream media outlet, enlighten me…I need to know who I am!

Ron Paul on US Government spying on Internet and Verizon users CNN 6/6/13

We live in a country that had an opportunity…probably the biggest opportunity in the world, and we blew it.  Oh, not right at first and not all at once to be sure, but we blew it all the same.

This country, while not perfect in its founding, had some sound principle going for it.  A population protected and free from government tyranny.  A nation of people willing to work to make their way and free to worship in whatever way they felt suited them.  Build your home, work your land, provide for your family and be happy in your job well done.  Again, I am not saying there were no mistakes, but since, we have tried to correct at least some of the founding mis-steps.

Yet, somewhere along the road while basking on our new-found freedom, we became complacent, lackadaisical, just plain inattentive…and then it happened.  People we elected to represent us decided they knew better than we what was good for us.  They decided to mince words and claim they didn’t know what the founding fathers meant by the Articles of Power in our Constitution.  And, they started usurping our liberties…just a few here and there, every now and again…but that was in the beginning…Today, they are blatant about it.  In fact, they aren’t even trying to hide it!

We have food police telling us what we can and can’t eat; raiding, at gun point, private buying clubs who specialize in raw foods, including milk.  Farm police telling us we can’t grow a garden in our own yards; telling us what type of livestock we can and cannot raise.  Health police telling us we must take certain vaccines or telling us our children must have certain vaccines and treatments.  We have a war on drugs while the FDA approves drugs that are harmful to our health.  We have government agencies taking liberties with our freedoms which where never meant to be…while a large potion of our population sits back and does absolutely nothing to stop it.  And why should they?  After all, they aren’t trying to grow a garden in their yard, so it doesn’t affect them…they don’t want to drink raw milk, so it doesn’t affect them…they believe in vaccinating their children, so they are complying, and think you should, too…In fact, if the government tells them to do it, they think it is for their own best interest…

It’s time for your history lesson!  We live in a Constitutional Republic, and there’s a reason for that.  In our particular form of government, your right NOT to have to drink raw milk is protected…but so is my right to drink it.  Your right to seek a doctor’s advice is always your right, but so is my right to self medicate.  Your right not to own a gun is your choice, but my right to keep and bear arms is mine.  Your right to send your children to public school is there, but so is my right to take responsibility for my own children’s education.  And, as long as I don’t force my opinion on you, or vise versa, as long as I respect your right to do as you please and you respect mine, we can do whatever the heck we want to do!

We may not see eye to eye on anything, but you know what?  That’s alright, because we have the right to hold differing opinions, and it really isn’t anyone else’s business!  BUT, if we don’t stand up for our rights, we are going to lose them.   And if we don’t stand up for the rights of our neighbors, whether we agree with them or not, at some point, the shoe will be on the other foot, and it will be your rights hanging in the balance…then what!

We have an obligation in this country to carry on the mission of our forefathers…protect the rights of everyone to be free…and either we are willing to do that, or we can kiss our freedoms goodbye!  It’s pretty simple…We can’t wait for someone else to do what we should have been doing all along.  We have to be willing to jump in there and protect our rights ourselves…

We can do something about it, but it’s gonna take work.  We are going to have to get involved if we plan on keeping our freedom.  Protecting our freedom is not a spectator sport!  Yes, we are going to have to participate.  Get to know your representation.  Talk to them regularly.  Let them know what you expect.  But, also, let them know if they don’t deliver, you have NO qualms about replacing them.  They need to be reminded from time to time who id really in charge…We-the-People!  It’s up to you, though…So, what’s it gonna be?

As my daughter was doing homework, from the notes her teacher gave in class she read, “We have a Representative Democracy.”  I could not believe it!  I was stunned as I asked her to read that again.  We searched through the book for a definition for Constitutional Republic, but none was found.  Under the definition in the main text for Republic, however, it states that the terms “Republic” and “Democracy” are used interchangeably.  (Maybe this answers a lingering question or two I have about the “Republicans” and the Democrats” on the Hill!)  A class period or so later, the teacher told the class that we can also refer to our form of government as a Liberal Democracy…WHAT!?!

The CIA World Factbook states that our form of government is a “Constitution-based federal republic; strong democratic tradition” not a “Representative” or “Liberal” Democracy.  Are the public schools in the midst of trying to revise our nations founding?  Even our Pledge of Allegiance says,  “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the REPUBLIC for which is stands…”

A Republic differs from a Democracy in that it follows a set of laws (say, a Constitution!), but control of the law remains with the people being governed.  In our country, our Constitution is the law of the land.  In a Democracy, the majority rules, as even if 51% of the people are in favor of something, that is now the law of the land.  Our Founding Fathers set this country up as a Constitutional Republic, protecting the minority from would-be encroachers.  In our country, the laws should not even be proposed if they are not first deemed constitutional.  That is what children (and some adults) need to know.

This “American Government” book has been in use for years.  I am not sure what they taught when Chief Justice John Roberts was in school, but I do know he has referred to our country as a Constitutional Democracy several times…and he is the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court!  No wonder our nation’s children have no idea why the past several administrations are so egregious!  Simply put, our children have no idea what they should be fighting for.  They are not being taught the importance of a Constitutional Republic.  What happened?

This particular school-approved “government” book teaches that it is the government that has the authority to set the rules by which all people living under it are governed.  Again, WHAT!?!  Our Constitution clearly says that We-the-People give government the power to follow the specific rules laid out by the Constitution.  In the film, “Don’t Tread On Me,” Constitutional Expert. Dr. Edwin Vieira says, “We-the-People do ordain and establish…Public officials didn’t do that, judges didn’t do that…that is a statement that We-the-People have the authority; we are the ultimate law-givers.”  That is a very powerful analysis and makes perfect sense.  That is the very point of our Constitution!

Our Declaration of Independence clearly states that to secure our inalienable rights, “Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.”  Again, government gets its power from We-the-People.  This does not take a genius to figure out!

In Article 1 Section 8 of Our Constitution, the last “Congressional power” clearly states, “To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States…” (Emphasis mine)  The Ninth and Tenth Amendments are very clear as to just where the power lies in our country.  Mainly, powers NOT given to the Federal Government in our Constitution are NOT theirs.  Furthermore, simply because our Founding Fathers saw fit to list a select few of our individual rights, does not mean that we do not retain ALL our rights, as people of this nation.

Another thing that is suspect is a little website on the front of the text book.  The website,, redirects to a site referred to as CNN Student News.  I would be just as appalled if it had a link to FOX News, or any other news station for that matter.  After all, how do people feel about the news?  In one pole, no news outlet was trusted even by fifty percent of the population.  In a September 2009 Pew Research Pole, comparing a 24-year span of news accuracy, it shows an all time low of 29% of people think the news outlets are reporting accurately.  Why, then, are we letting a news outlet teach our children?  By the way, the first class self test was printed off of the CNN website!

This “text book” also tells my daughter and her unwitting classmates that the “function of government” is to 1) Maintain Order, 2) Resolve Conflict, 3) Promote Values, and 4) Provide Services.  No wonder children grow up not knowing or understanding our form of government!  No wonder people think they are “entitled’ to whatever they want!  The Constitution lists the ”Congressional Powers.”  Among those is to provide for the common defense and promote the general welfare, commerce between foreign nations and the several states, provide and maintain a Navy (NOT an army!!!), but nowhere does it say that government is to provide services and promote values.

Some may look at promoting the general welfare and think that is the government’s loophole to provide services, but, James Madison clearly did not think that, and he basically wrote it!

“If Congress can employ money indefinitely to the general welfare, and are the sole and supreme judges of the general welfare, they may take the care of religion into their own hands;  they may appoint teachers in every State, county and parish and pay them out of their public treasury;  they may take into their own hands the education of children, establishing in like manner schools throughout the Union;  they may assume the provision of the poor;  they may undertake the regulation of all roads other than post-roads;  in short, every thing, from the highest object of state legislation down to the most minute object of police, would be thrown under the power of Congress.  Were the power of Congress to be established in the latitude contended for, it would subvert the very foundations, and transmute the very nature of the limited Government established by the people of America.” Founding Father James Madison

That last line is very key to this discussion, “…limited Government established by the people of America.”  During the debates about the Constitution, before it was ratified, many state governments had plenty to say about the Federal governmental powers.  But one major theme was repeated over and over again, Congress’s powers are to be limited, and not in any way to infringe on the powers of the states or the individuals.  Of those, a few stand out.  North Carolina was very clear:

“That those clauses which declare that Congress shall not exercise certain powers, be not interpreted in any manner whatsoever to extend the powers of Congress…”

As was New York:

“That the Powers of the Government may be reassumed by the People, whensoever it shall become necessary to their Happiness; that every Power, Jurisdiction and right, which is not by the said Constitution clearly delegated to the Congress of the United States, or the departments of the Government thereof, remains to the People of the several States, or to their respective State Governments to whom they may have granted the same …”

These sentiments go on and on and were actually recorded for posterity to protect future generations from tyranny in government.  Our children need to know why this country and its government are different from the rest of the world.  Our people need to understand the significance of all of our founding documents.  They need to read the debates of the time and the concerns and comments of our country’s framers, something obviously not being taught in our school system!  Our government needs to reread and understand what makes our country unique.

In her High School Valedictorian Speech, Erica Goldson says that, in the American educations system, children are taught to pass tests, but they do not really “learn.”  She contends that school is teaching children to work within a “system,” so that they can graduate, go to college, get their diploma to prove they are now “capable of work.”  Ms. Goldson’s insight is exceptional as she states, “A worker is someone who is trapped within repetition – a slave of the system set up before him” and that she has “successfully shown that I was the best slave.“

What she so eloquently says is that students are basically being brainwashed “in order to create a complacent labor force working in the interests of large corporations and secretive government.”  She has completed this “period of indoctrination” and will “go on to the next phase expected of her.”  In the words of Ms. Goldson, “School is not all that it can be.”  That is an understatement!

It will obviously be up to us to teach our children, our grandchildren, and ourselves, the importance, long forgotten, of this country.  It is time we take a stand…it is time we let the “Constitutional Experts” on the Hill and in our classrooms know, we will not take this lying down.  The mantra of American Revolutionary brothers and sisters should be the mantra of every single person in the United States of America today:  “Don’t Tread On Me!”
